New Hyatt Brand Shows Progress at Nashville Site
The proposed 210-room Caption by Hyatt hotel has had a few false starts, but it looks like the project will soon be moving forward. This week, a construction shell permit was issued for the Gulch area hotel project. The Nashville property will be the second opening for the brand, joining Caption by Hyatt Beale Street Memphis, which opened in 2022.
The 175,000-square-foot hotel will offer four levels of underground parking, 6,700 square feet of dining and retail space, and amenity space for hotel guests. The property will include the signature food and beverage concept Talk Shop, which has a current location in the Memphis location of Caption by Hyatt. It offers breakfast, small-plate options, and an extensive list of beers, cocktails and wines by the glass.
Caption by Hyatt Nashville is co-owned by HRI Hospitality, C.B. Ragland, and Peachtree Hotel Group. The construction financing will be provided by Truist Financial Corporation and its syndication partner, Commerce Bank.
