New Home for Firenze Ristorante
April 6, 2017
In February, Firenze Ristorante burned in a four-alarm fire on the Upper East Side.
“I read about this unfortunate fire that destroyed this beloved neighborhood restaurant,” said Jeff Geoghegan, director for Eastern Consolidated. “I ran uptown to the burned-out restaurant looking for the owner, and Emanuele walked out of the charred structure and told me he needed a new location yesterday.”
Geoghegan represented Emanuele Caisaguano, the owner of Firenze Ristorante, in arranging the 15-year lease for 1,400-square-foot ground floor space and 900-square-foot basement at 1555 Second Ave, between 80th and 81st St. Firenze had operated since 1981 from its old home at 1594 Second Ave., just two blocks away.
“I took him to the new space and he loved it. We had a signed deal within four weeks,” said Geoghegan.
