New Home Co. Launches Operations in Portland

Southern California-based real estate developer New Home Co. has expanded into the Pacific Northwest with the opening of its Oregon division in Portland, OR. Additionally, the company announced that veteran homebuilding executive Fred Gast will lead the division as partner and president.

Gast has 20 years of experience and has developed four master-planned communities and thousands of homes. “Fred has a passion for transforming underutilized land into beautiful places and spaces where people want to live their lives,” said New Home Co. CEO Matthew Zaist. “We are proud to have him as a partner as we expand in the region.”

New Home Co.’s first two Oregon neighborhoods are well underway. At the community of River Terrace in Tigard, OR, the firm’s Axiom residences will feature townhomes and single-family homes plus the company will build the community’s town center project. New Home Co. is also developing The Vineyard in Beaverton, OR (pictured), featuring townhomes and single-family homes.
