Enhanced entertainment Harkins Backlot coming to Phoenix

New Harkins Entertainment Concept Planning North Phoenix Debut

Harkins Theatres is looking to open Harkins BackLot, a new concept family entertainment center that was inspired by the classic move studio backlots. It’s coming to The Shops at Norterra in North Phoenix and hopes to be up and going in 2024. The company expects to take its new concept nationwide.

Besides movies, Harkins BackLot will feature a full-service restaurant and bar, Arizona’s largest sports viewing screens, expansive arcade for all ages, bowling and spacious private event space with party and corporate event rooms.

Using digital technology along with synchronized lighting and surround sound, Harkins BackLot locations will be transformed with movie-themed takeovers for new and upcoming movies to provide guests with an immersive and ever-changing theme.

The BackLot sports arena will also be a destination for enjoying sporting events throughout the year with full-service dining on stadium seated risers for optimal viewing.
