X-Golf is banking on its fun and wow factor. To enjoy one of its realistic, high-tech golf simulators will run you about $55, similar to paying for an 18-hole round of golf. But unlike real golf, it’s climate-controlled and doesn’t take five hours. X-Golf is an experiential bar and grill with golf simulator bays that allow players to play different world-class golf courses. Its first Houston-area location is slated to open this November.

It will be located in the Peek Plaza shopping center on the western side of the Grand Parkway north of Morton Road. There, X-Golf has leased an 8,195-square-foot space.

The Houston Business Journal reports the new X-Golf franchise will have eight golf bays — niches with seats and tables plus a 17-foot screen so you can see where your ball is going on any given course. The technology measures things like speed, angle and trajectory. There will also be a bar and standard pub fare.
