Texas Health Forney to build 115 bed hospital

New Forney Hospital to Cost $171M

Construction on Forney’s first acute care hospital, a new, roughly 245,000-square-foot hospital, is slated to start next month. Texas Health will likely start accepting patients in June 2027.

The 115-bed facility is expected to cost $171 million. The complex will have operating suites and imaging services. The hospital will offer an emergency room, operating suites, a labor and delivery department, a variety of imaging services, and additional services to provide the full continuum of care to the growing community. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Kaufman County is growing faster than any other in the nation, with Forney among the country’s fastest-growing cities.

Located along Highway 80, the hospital will be designed to allow for future expansion. Beck Architectures LLC is designing the project.
