New DTLA 42-Story Residential Tower Tops Out
Mitsui Fudosan America (MFA) and Lendlease have announced the topping-out of 8th & Figueroa, a 42-story apartment tower under construction in downtown Los Angeles. Slated for delivery in 2023, the 438-unit building will be comprised of studio, one- and two-bedroom residences as well as 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
“Long before placing this final beam, our collaboration with MFA began with early conversations about how to bring the initial design concepts to fruition on this highly visible infill site,” said Lendlease’s Caleigh Raymer. “It’s been gratifying to see this transformation of a surface parking lot into a higher use, and we look forward to further shaping the DTLA skyline in the years ahead.”
Designed by Johnson Fain Architects, 8th & Figueroa features a brightly lit lobby and a modern glass facade. Amenities include a resort-style pool with cabanas, a wellness center and resident lounge.
