New Ballard Senior Living Community Under Construction
Real estate firm Ryan Companies US, Inc. is working with assisted living company Aegis Living in building a new senior living project in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. The community broke ground in March, and is scheduled to be completed in early 2024. DAHLIN is the architect for the project.
“We are honored to help bring comfortable space to residents and their families that will help fulfill an important demand for senior housing in the Seattle area,” said Dan Bergstein, Northwest region vice president of construction for Ryan Companies. According to ESRI, the 75 and older community is expected to grow 25% in King County by 2027.
The five-level Aegis Living senior assisted living and memory care community will be 75,000 square feet and house 92 resident apartments. Amenities include dining facilities and a movie theater and the property design will blend a Northwest style with Nordic heritage to reflect Ballard’s Scandinavian roots.
