New Age Plastics Recycler Reveals Start Date for Eloy Plant

The small town of Eloy, between Phoenix and Tucson, will soon be home to a $400 million plastics recycling facility. Ownership promises over 100 jobs and an economic impact of over $1 billion.

Freepoint Eco-Systems develops large-scale “advanced recycling” plants that turn waste plastic into an oil-like feedstock for petrochemical manufacturers.

The new plant will span 40 acres of currently undeveloped land and have the capacity to recycle approximately 180,000 tons of waste plastic per year, making it one of the largest advanced recycling facilities in the world.
