New Affordable Senior Housing Building Comes to Bronx
A development team led by Xenolith Partners LLC, a Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE), alongside The Kretchmer Companies, ELH Mgmt. LLC, and JASA, have unveiled Casa Celina in the Bronx. The 16-story building offers 204 apartments, including 62 for formerly homeless older residents and 142 for households earning 50% or less of the Area Median Income. NYCHA residents will have a preference for 35 units.
JASA, the property manager, will provide on-site services such as health and wellness programs, medical transportation, and social support. The building features amenities like a fitness room, laundry facilities, communal lounges, and a landscaped roof terrace. Casa Celina is designed to support older adults with features like walk-in showers and accessible units.
The $113 million project was financed through a combination of HDC bonds, subsidies, and tax credit equity. Residents have begun moving in, with full occupancy expected by the end of 2024.
