Novva Data Centers Building Las Vegas $400 million facility

New $400 Million Data Center On Way in Las Vegas

Novva Data Centers has announced plans for a new facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company said that construction is under way on the 275,000 square foot, 100 megawatt, $400 million data center in North Las Vegas. The 20-acre campus is expected to open in late 2023. The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development approved more than $15 million in tax incentives for the company’s project.

Novva Data Centers Founder Wes Swenson says the location is key “North Las Vegas is an ideal location for a data center because it allows us to take advantage of the abundant renewable energy alternatives, and its proximity to the California and regional markets. It is a great addition to our other western data center locations.”

Nova said the new facility will offer high-density cooling using water-free technology, containment, renewable energy in partnership with NV Energy, and include a wholly-owned on-premise substation. The campus can withstand 125 degree outside temperatures.
