New $209M Anaheim Hotel Plans Approved
An affiliate of Hong Kong-based Wincome Group received approval from the Anaheim Planning Commission to move forward on a proposed 580-room hotel. Next month, the $209-million redevelopment project will be vetted by the city council.
Plans include demolishing the Anaheim Plaza & Suites, which currently sits on the site at Harbor Blvd. and Disney Way. The new hotel will double the number of rooms, and includes 50,000 square feet of meeting space, 25,600 square feet of restaurant space, and parking for 949 cars.
Wincome Group also owns and operates the Anabella Hotel, and Avenue of the Arts hotel in Costa Mesa. Last year, it sold the Carousel Inn & Suites to Walt Disney Co for $32 million.
