Nestlé USA Relocating HQ to Virginia

Nestlé USA will relocate its U.S. headquarters from Glendale, CA to an office tower in Arlington, VA. The food and nutrition corporation will be the anchor tenant at 1812 N. Moore St., which has been vacant since it delivered in 2013.

Nestlé USA is a subsidiary of Nestlé S.A., a leading global nutrition, health and wellness company based in Switzerland.

Monday Properties, which built the 35-story, 537,000-square-foot structure, said Nestle will initially lease 40% of the building, or 206,000 square feet, with an option to expand to more than 250,000 square feet. Nestlé is planning to invest close to $40 million in the office and area, and will create 748 new jobs at its new headquarters.

Lou Christopher and R. Todd Doney of CBRE represented Nestlé in the transaction. The landlord team was represented by Helmig, Freeman and John Wharton at Monday Properties, and Evan Behr and Doug Mueller at JLL.
