NC State Building $180M Integrative Science Building

North Carolina State University in Raleigh is planning a $180 million high-tech facility focused on student education, training and workforce development.

Woodson Hall, also known as the Integrative Sciences building, will span 153,000 square feet.

Woodson Hall’s funding is split between the university and the North Carolina General Assembly. More than 25 faculty members will work on three major research themes within the building. The first two floors will be dedicated to undergraduate education and training, while the third through fifth floors will house research labs and the Integrative Sciences Initiative.

Construction is scheduled to be completed in September 2026, and the building is expected to be fully operational by the spring 2027 semester.

The facility, next to N.C. State’s Brickyard will be on the former site of Harrelson Hall, which stood for more than 50 years before its demolition in 2016. Moseley Architects and ZGF Architects led the design.
