NBC Golf Moves from FL to CT

NBC Sports Group is relocating its Golf Channel headquarters from Orlando to its base in Stamford, CT. Westfair Online reported that the relocation would take place over the next 12 to 18 months, although NBC didn’t say how many employees will be moving to the NBC Sports unit’s Stamford headquarters at 1 Blachley Rd., a former Clairol manufacturing plant.

“Geographic consolidation is a growing and sensible trend across the media industry,” NBC said. “As our business continues to evolve, we’ll continue to look for ways to operate as effectively as possible to deliver world-class coverage to our loyal audiences.”

NBC Sports Group reportedly signed a nine-year extension with the PGA Tour recently. This would maintain Golf Channel as its primary cable partner, and continue NBC Sports’ status – along with CBS Sports – as the PGA’s primary network broadcasters, Westfair Online reported.

Connect New York 2020 is set to take place on Wednesday, April 29 at Upper Story by Charlie Palmer. For more information, or to register, click  here.
