Nauset Closes Union Square Mixed-Use Complex 

Nauset Construction has completed Union 346, a 94-unit apartment community with 2,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, located in the Union Square neighborhood of Somerville, Massachusetts.  

The five-story wood-frame apartment building was built over a two-story steel/concrete-framed podium at the former site of J.J. Sullivan Plumbing & Heating. Union 346 offers a mix of market-rate and affordable housing, with 18 units designated as affordable for renters earning between 50% and 110% of the AMI.  

The pet-friendly community offers amenities such as a fitness room, rooftop deck, and publicly accessible park at the rear of the site. Union 346 was designed and constructed to LEED standards.
