National University Divests Torrey Pines HQ
National University System, a veteran-founded nonprofit university with more than 45,000 students across 28 global campuses, sold The Pointe at Torrey Pines for an undisclosed price. An unnamed institutional investor acquired the 11.4-acre property in La Jolla.
Located at 11255 and 11355 N. Torrey Pines Rd., the site is home to the National University System and National University’s two-building headquarters. The office buildings total 139,135 square feet and have unobstructed, panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Torrey Pines Reserve.
CBRE’s Louay Alsadek, Hunter Rowe and Caitlin Little represented the seller. The undisclosed buyer was self-represented.
Alsadek says, “This is an incredibly well-located site with over 1,000 feet of frontage along North Torrey Pines Road.”
Located in San Diego’s top biotech and life sciences submarket, the property is across the street from Torrey Pines Golf Course. It is near UTC, as well as research institutes such as Scripps Research, Salk Institute and UC San Diego.
