Nate Paul’s $4M Bid Gets Him 2 Acres

A 2.1-acre tract along Barton Springs Road in Austin ended up going to the highest bidder – commercial real estate developer Nate Paul – who won the prime piece of property with his $4.3 million bid. Paul, who is founder and CEO of Austin-based World Class Holdings, is buying the property for his personal use. Paul edged out River City Capital Partners LLC for the land at 511 Barton Blvd. The closing is scheduled for Jan. 2, 2018.

The property, which was offered through online auction by way of Concierge Auctions, has been in the same family for more than 80 years. June Thorp Rade Marital Trust I and Raymond H. Rade Family Trust of Goliad (TX) were the sellers. According to Dean Poole with Concierge Auctions, 19 bidders took part in the auction, with the profile representing sports figures, developers and Hollywood executives.

A 2,600-square-foot house and garage apartment are currently on the site.
