NAIOP SoCal Takes A Ride on a Fast Horse

More than 300 Southern California CRE car enthusiasts and industry leaders gathered for NAIOP SoCal’s 2016 kick-off event on January 14 in Newport Beach. Among the attendees were motorsport icon Dan Gurney and his wife Evi.

The “high octane” discussion, led by Avison Young’s car guru Jodi Meade, provided insights on why its wise to “keep an eye” on the auto industry in Southern California. Meade says it is one of “indicator industries” for the economy, and thus serves as a roadmap for the real estate industry.

Guests at the event viewed vintage and state-of-the-art Ford Mustangs up close. The centerpiece of the evening was the showing of A Faster Horse, an 90-minute documentary that details Ford’s iconic Mustang car.
