MXU Tower On Tap for Dallas’ East Side

Developer Todd Interests is planning a new high-rise retail, office and apartment project on the east side of Dallas, near Jackson Street and Cesar Chavez Boulevard. Work on the 17-story project, which will include 180,000 square feet of office space, 336 apartment units and ground-floor retail, is anticipated to begin in late 2019.

The new project will wrap around the 74-year-old Meletio Electric building. “We are making the Meletio Building the centerpiece of the new development,” Patrick Todd told the Dallas Morning News. Merriman Anderson Architects is the designer, and Andres Construction will be the general partner.

Todd Interests is already at work on another project in the area, conversion of aging buildings into creative office spaces.
