MXU Plaza Saltillo Green-Lit by City Council
The Austin City Council granted zoning approval for Endeavor Real Estate Group LLC’s Plaza Saltillo. Construction on the East Austin, mixed-use development will begin in Q2 2017 on 10 acres east of Interstate 35, between Fourth and Fifth Streets. Once started, buildout will take approximately two years.
Plaza Saltillo will consist of 800 apartment units, plus office and retail space. The zoning sets a building height limit of 70 feet for the entire project, but Endeavor could exercise the option to build a 125-foot high office building.
Endeavor is partnering with Columbus Realty Partners, which is building apartments in mixed-use buildings, and Diana McIver & Associates, which is developing a 100-unit apartment building. Endeavor will build the 120,000-square-foot office component and ground-floor retail.
