Musk buys 1.64 accres for loop extension

Musk to Expand Las Vegas Underground Loop

Elon Musk’s The Boring Company has purchased 1.36 acres in Las Vegas to construct a station for its Vegas Loop. The Loop is an underground transportation system that will be open to the public. Plans call for the Loop to cover 65 miles under the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown.

HMV Group sold the parcel for $3.67 million. Company director Maxwell Nuremberg hopes the purchase will add traffic to the company’s above-ground mixed-use project, “It made perfect sense to collaborate with them, since the Vegas Loop station will eventually bring customers and residents to the doorstep of our Spring Mountain Vegas Loop retail development and Valley View Vegas Loop retail development projects.”

The Boring Company received approvals for an expansion of its Vegas Loop plans in Q2 of 2023, which includes two additional stations in the Chinatown/Asian District including the 1.36-acre property acquired from The HMV Group.
