Elon Musk has many ideas, both large and small. After tweeting about his frustrations caused by the traffic on Los Angeles’ roadways, Musk proposed to build a tunnel machine and “just start digging.”

Many were left to wonder if his hypothetical solution would come to life, and he answered those questions via another tweet that indicated there has been “progress on the tunnel front.” He’s named this new project ‘The Boring Company’, and also tweeted it would begin by SpaceX.

Musk has yet to apply for permits with the city, but media sources like USA Today shared how projects like this have struggled to be successful, and cost billions of dollars to make happen.
