MultiVersity Housing Partners Acquires Student Complex Near USC
MultiVersity Housing Partners has acquired The Orchard Columbia, an 84-unit, 308-bed student housing property located less than one mile from the University of South Carolina. It is at full occupancy for the 2021-2022 lease term and 100% preleased for the 2022-2023 school year.
The asset is comprised of 84 cottage-style units spread across 8 acres, with a unit mix consisting of 28 three-bedroom units and 56 four-bedroom units each suited with bed-bath parity. It was constructed in three phases between 2015 to 2018
MVHP’s property management arm, MultiVersity Property Management, will be overseeing the management and planned improvements (including a poolside LED screen for Gamecock sporting events).
JLL, the Hunt Realty Team and EM 163 participated in the transaction.
