Multifamily Experts Map the Landscape in Connect Media’s June Webinar

With the results of the latest Multifamily Rent Tracker survey from the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) providing a springboard, three industry leaders shared their insights into the current lay of the land as well as what lies ahead. They included NMHC president Doug Bibby; Jeff Day, president of NKF’s Multifamily Capital Markets division; and David Schwartz, chairman and CEO of Waterton.

All three joined via Zoom for Connect Media’s June National Multifamily Update webinar, with Connect Media CEO Daniel Ceniceros moderating the half-hour conversation. You can register for access to the webinar, which goes live on June 11, at the link below.

Bibby, Day and Schwartz broke down current multifamily fundamentals, which have been more resilient than early expectations may have indicated, as the COVID-19 pandemic led to voluntary and mandated shutdowns. However, three months into the crisis, all three made it clear that a return to normal market conditions is still to come. That’s true for aspects of multifamily ranging from timely and reliable rent payment, to deal flow in sales transactions.
