Multifamily Company Lynd Launches HQ Construction
Multifamily company Lynd began construction on its future 35,000-square-foot corporate headquarters in Shavano Park, on San Antonio’s far north side. The three-story building is scheduled for completion in mid-2019, and will house approximately 50 employees.
The apartment management and development company is currently at 8000 W. Interstate 10 and, according to CEO David Lynd, the plan was always to own, rather than lease. “As we approach our 40th anniversary in business and our lease was expiring, it felt like the right time to strike,” he said.
The headquarters will also have a 1,200-square-foot military museum on the ground floor. The museum, which will be open to the public, will display memorabilia from the Vietnam War. Company founder and chairman emeritus Michael Lynd served as an Army infantry officer during the conflict.
RVK Architects is the architect of record and interior designer, and Metro the general contractor. Bank of San Antonio is providing financing.
