Mueller Industries, headquartered in Tennessee, will be opening a copper manufacturing plant in Cedar City, UT that will add up to 125 jobs in the community. Mueller Industries is a leading manufacturer in the copper and brass industries, with the Cedar City operations dedicated to manufacturing copper tube products.

The economic agreement Mueller made with the state include creation of 125 jobs over eight years, with total wages, in aggregate, to exceed 110% of Iron County’s average wage. Projected new state tax revenues are estimated to be $2.5 million over the same period.

In the meantime, the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development approved a post-performance tax credit rebate not to exceed $495,190. Mueller Industries can also earn up to 20% of the new state taxes it will pay over the life of the agreement.
