Washington, DC-based MRP Realty — developer of commercial, residential, industrial and mixed-use real estate in the DC region — has closed a lease to Kraken Kourts on a 70,000 square-foot complex that will house 16 pickleball courts, tavern, and DC’s only indoor roller-skating rink.

The complex will open in January 2023 in MRP Realty’s Bryant Street NE development in the Edgewater neighborhood. The multi-generational gathering space will feature family programming and courtside cabanas for cheering on matches with an assortment of dining and beverage options. Pickleball leagues will launch in late January along with clinics and private lessons.
