MRP, Hillwood Break Ground on 2M-SF PA Industrial Park
Baltimore-based MRP Industrial, in a joint venture with Hillwood, acquired and commenced construction on Hamburg Logistics Park in Hamburg, PA. The 165-acre commercial real estate project is approved for three buildings of 1.9 million square feet along the I-78 corridor in Lehigh Valley’s West submarket.
Phase 1 of construction includes the speculative development of 101 Logistics Drive and 201 Logistics Drive. 101 Logistics is a 336,000-square-foot, Class A single loaded distribution center scheduled for delivery in 3Q 2018. 201 Logistics is a 1.24-million-square-foot, Class A cross dock distribution center with expected delivery in 4Q 2018. When completed, 201 Logistics Drive will be the largest speculative building ever developed in Eastern Pennsylvania.
The campus-style setting will include more than 92 acres of landscaped area on a former golf course located eight miles north of Reading, and within a 30-minute drive to the workforce in Allentown.
JLL’s Jeff Lockard is handling leasing for the project.
