Moxion Power Leases 130K SF at Richmond’s Historic Ford Point

Ford Point, a historic 479,000-square-foot Advanced Manufacturing and R&D industrial waterfront property in Richmond, CA has leased 130,000 square feet to mobile energy storage systems manufacturer Moxion Power.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Ted Anderson, Andrew Schmieder and Ryan Hattersley represented the landlord in the transaction, Madison Capital and Meadow Partners. JLL’s Mike Sample, Greg Matter and Patrick Metzger represented the tenant.

“We are thrilled to provide R&D and advanced manufacturing space to Moxion in support of their continued growth at Ford Point. Our new tenant improvement program is designed to provide the resources necessary to tailor this great building to their specific needs,” said Madison Capital’s Brian Riggle.

Ford Point’s distinct features include a brick façade, factory-style windows, skylights that allow for day-lit spaces and a sawtooth roof that houses a one-megawatt solar system. Other tenants include SunPower, Mountain Hardwear and California Closets.
