Mountain View Multifamily Sells for $41M

Marcus & Millichaps’ Levin Johnston Group has completed the sale of a Google HQ-adjacent, 59-unit apartment complex for $40.5 million. Built in 1970 just 5.2 miles from Stanford University, 2310 Rock Street is a 59-unit multifamily townhome community situated near public transit and commuter rail.

According to Levin Johnston’s Executive Managing Director Adam Levin, “Although the acquisition price represented a record-high sales price for a multifamily property in the Mountain View market, we and the buyer understand the long-term value of the land and the ready demand for housing in the community and were willing to come up to the number that would win our client the deal.”

Mountain View, an anchor of the Silicon Valley tech-economy, has seen nearly 100,000 additional jobs created this year, helping to fuel demand for 6,400 new multifamily units completed over the past four quarters.
