Motorhome Manufacturer Increases Indiana Facility Footprint by 500K-SF
Thor Motor Coach is expanding operations in Elkhart, Wakarusa, and Bristol, IN. The growth in northern Indiana involves more than a 500,000 square feet of additional workspace, which will increase the motorhome manufacturer’s five Elkhart County campuses to 2.3 million square feet, spread across 300 acres.
Thor Motor Coach’s Jeff Kime says, “We are expanding our manufacturing footprint to meet the strong consumer demand for our products. These significant expansion projects will allow us to serve our dealer network with improved delivery times.”
Thor Motor Coach is acquiring an existing building in Wakarusa for Class C production and a new lamination operation. The company is adding to a Class C campus in Bristol to support its popular Quantum motorhome line. It is also expanding a plant in Elkhart to accommodate a future second production line for its highest volume, in-demand gas Class A motorhome models.
