Motel Owner Wants to Beautify Las Vegas Boulevard

Ilan Gorodezki, who acquired a Super 8 motel and the Thunderbird motel next door in 2010 and 2014, respectively, now wants to create a beautiful project on those Las Vegas Boulevard South sites. Specifically, Gorodezki, who founded I&L Investments and Management in Beverly Hills, CA, wants to put up Thunderbird Lofts, a proposed 15-story, 370-unit apartment building. The project would also offer 16,000 square feet of retail space. Las Vegas City Council members will consider the project on April 19.

The Las Vegas Planning Commission already approved the plans. Assuming the city council follows suit, groundbreaking would be a year away, with construction lasting 2 1/2 years. Gorodezki also said he wouldn’t rule out selling the site, which encompasses 1213-1215 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
