Morton Grove’s Sawmill Station Goes Vertical
Oak Brook-based Kensington Development Partners and IM Properties launched vertical construction and the completion of leases totaling 200,000 square feet of space at their Sawmill Station redevelopment in Morton Grove, IL. Tenants that have signed on thus far include LA Fitness, Dollar Tree and Kohl’s.
When completed, Sawmill Station is projected to include approximately 240,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space along with a six-story multifamily component.
“We continue to experience a great deal of enthusiasm and build great momentum for Sawmill Station,” said Kensington principal John Schoditsch.
The start of vertical construction at Sawmill Station is focused on the anchor tenants located at the southwest corner of the development, and the outlots located on Dempster Street. Construction of these spaces is expected to commence in the upcoming weeks, which will allow some tenants to begin moving in and opening stores in fall of 2020.
