More Known About TIAA’s Major Move to “The Star”
The Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA) announced a while back they were planning to move from their Lewisville office to “The Star” in Frisco. Now TIAA is revealing that improvements on the 15-story building they are renting will cost $110 million and the construction, which begins in December, will be completed near the end of 2024. The Dallas Business Journal reports the company will sign a long term lease and will take up an entire 500,000 square foot building. 2,000 TIAA workers will move into the office.
TIAA will have good company. McAfee announced in January it would put its new regional headquarters in The Star in Frisco. In 2019, Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. announced a move into a 350,000-square-foot build-to-suit, leased office building at The Star.
The 91-acre site also contains the 300-key Omni Frisco Hotel, a 60,000-square-foot fitness center, several retail and dining options and additional amenities.
Besides a bevy of commercial buildings, The Star is home to the Dallas Cowboys.
