More Co-working Space Coming to El Paso
One : One, a new co-working space, opened shop in 5,500 square feet at 500 N. Oregon in downtown El Paso. Borderplex Realty Trust owns the building, which is 115 years old. One : One was launched in late December by Jacob Pacheco, Johnny Escalante and Kiki Cervantes.
Though co-working space has taken off in several locations, the trend has been somewhat slow to come to El Paso. The concept, however, is growing, even if it continues to be a tiny slice of El Paso’s overall office market.
In 2012, Ricardo Fernandez opened The Station Urban Offices, which takes up 8,000 square feet at 500 W. Overland. A year later, Regus entered the city, and took the entire seventh floor of the Wells Fargo Building at 221 N. Kansas St. Meanwhile, Denver-headquartered Intelligent Office has two El Paso locations at 7362 Remcom and 2300 George Deiter.
