Moody National Begins Building 182-Key Residence Inn
Moody National Cos. commenced construction on a 182-room Residence Inn by Marriott in Houston’s Texas Medical Center. The 16-story hotel, at 7807 Kirby, will also include a 4.5-story parking garage and four private meeting rooms totaling 5,000 square feet. The hotel is anticipated to open in early 2019.
Moody National anticipates that Texas Medical Center, along with nearby NRG Stadium (home to the Houston Texans NFL team and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo) will serve as two major demand generators.
Arch-Con is the general contractor, and Mitchell Carlson Stone Architects the project architect. Moody National Hospitality Management will oversee operations of the hotel, and has extensive experience in the Medical Center market.
