Monday Inks WeWork Deal in San Mateo

Monday Properties signed a 37,390-square-foot deal with WeWork at 1840 Gateway Dr. in San Mateo, CA. The co-working space provider will take space at the 70,000-square-foot Mariner’s Island district asset, bringing it to 100%-occupied.

The New York-based investor acquired the asset in late 2017, and completed a comprehensive renovation program to enhance the overall tenant experience with top quality building amenities and exterior upgrades to improve the aesthetic and building visibility.

Monday Properties’ Tim Helmig says, “When we acquired the asset, our vision was to reposition the building to attract tenancy that would benefit from a collaborative and efficient office environment. Not only have we invested in base building infrastructure projects, but we completely transformed the common areas and amenities base, which we believe are best-in-class for our tenants in the marketplace.”

CBRE’s Jonathan Moeller, Anthony Gatti, and Evan Chang represented the tenant. Cushman & Wakefield’s Mike Moran, Clarke Funkhouser, and Chase Novak advised the landlord.

Connect Direct-to-Consumer is this week at San Jose’s Santana Row. Get more information and register for the September 26th event on this link.
