Molloy College BFA Program Moves Downtown

The musical theatre program of Molloy College and its partner CAP21 has found a new home in a 38-story office tower in Manhattan’s Financial District.

Molloy’s bachelor of fine arts program will fill the entire 16,540-square-foot fourth floor of the limestone and glass high-rise, built in 1927, with large windows, exposed ceilings and abundant light.

“50 Broadway has a wide appeal and is conveniently located for Molloy’s faculty and students, offering amenities to accommodate the continued success of their fine-arts program,” said Fred Smith, vice chairman of Newmark Knight Frank, which negotiated the 15-year lease on behalf of Molloy. Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, United Federation of Teachers.

The program, previously affiliated with New York University, moves downtown from its old home at 18 W. 18th St.
