Moderno Plans 30-Story Tower in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale-based Moderno Development Group plans to develop River Lofts on 5th, a 30-story residential tower in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The $80-million project in the Tarpon River neighborhood is under review by the city, and the developer is eying a groundbreaking later this year.

The development would include 172 studios, 152 one-bedroom apartments and 20 two-bedroom apartments with 373 parking spaces and ground-floor retail. Rents are expected to be just shy of $2,000 per month.

Planned amenities include a rooftop swimming pool, open kitchen and barbecue area, yoga lawn, a fitness center, a spin studio, a game lounge, and a movie lounge, as well as views of the New River and downtown. The building will also contain co-working spaces, a bicycle shop and a ridesharing pickup/drop-off area.

The one-acre site at 307 S.W. Fifth St., as well as 439 and 443 S.W. Third Ave. is situated between Fourth and Fifth Streets.
