MOB Specialist Bauman & Co. Enters Chicago Market

Atlanta-based Bauman & Company LLC, which specializes in acquiring, leasing and managing medical office buildings, has expanded into Illinois with three medical office buildings in Elgin and Aurora.

Deal terms weren’t disclosed. Two of the buildings are located on the AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital Elgin campus, and the third building is located on the AMITA Health Mercy Medical Center Aurora campus.

“These properties are a valuable addition to our portfolio and we look forward to continuing our expansion in the Midwest,” said Billy Bauman, founder of Bauman & Company.

Collectively totaling 125,000 square feet, the facilities are currently in the design phase for renovations to the common areas, with construction slated to start in the fourth quarter of this year. Bauman & Company has taken over the management of these properties, with leasing being handled by local medical office specialist O’Donnell Commercial Real Estate Inc.
