MLB Hits HR with 400K-SF NYC Lease

Major League Baseball (MLB) signed a lease with Rockefeller Group to take down approximately 400,000 square feet at 1271 Avenue of the Americas. The organization’s new headquarters will be in the 48-story building between West 50th and West 51st Streets.

MLB will take six floors of space previously occupied by Time Inc., which had, in turn, occupied the space from 1959 until the end of 2015. The move puts close to all of baseball’s operations in a single location. MLB will begin relocating in 2019.
