Miyako Hotel Sets Sights on Plano

Garfield Public-Private is finalizing plans for a Miyako Hotel in Plano. Construction could start on the 217-key hotel by the end of the year. The hotel will be located on the south side of Campus at Legacy (photo). The Campus at Legacy is a $1 billion project that hopes to transform into a mixed-use space featuring offices and stores.

Toyota’s continental headquarters opened at Plano’s Legacy West in 2017. While the initial thought behind a Miyako hotel in Plano was to accommodate guests visiting Toyota’s campus, the hotel is expected to serve a wide variety of travelers and companies as Plano continues to evolve into a corporate destination. There are 20 Miyako Hotels in Japan, and the Plano location will be its third in the US.

Guest amenities include a pool deck with individual sauna rooms and a rooftop bar featuring teppanyaki dining as well as sweeping views of the surrounding area.

Construction is expected to be completed in two years.
