Mixed-Use Project Planned for Northlake
Canadian-owned Western Securities is looking to build a 60-acre mixed-use development called Chadwick Farms in Northlake. Northlake is a town of just over 5,000 residents north of the DFW metro area.
Community Impact reports that Chadwick Farms is set to include up to 900 multi-family units, a hotel with more than 150 rooms, a conference center and 60,000 square feet of space for restaurants, retail and entertainment. It will sit next to the StarCenter Multisport Northlake, a more than 200,000-square-foot indoor youth sports facility that is expected to draw around 1.3 million visitors annually once fully operational.
The developer says the project will be done in phases, with the first phase likely including some 300 multi-family units. The project has been in the works for about two years now and will take another year and a half or so to be built.
Retailers and restaurants could begin opening their spaces in the summer or fall of 2026.
