Mixed-Use Project Planned for Bellevue’s Auto Row
A major redevelopment is in the planning stages for Bellevue’s Wilburton neighborhood.
KG Investment Properties is proposing a 3.6 million-square-foot project that would include nearly 1,400 residential units and a 1.5 million-square-foot office tower. The KG Wilburton Master Development Plan proposes transforming a 6.63-acre site, currently home to two single-story car dealerships, into a large mixed-use development featuring housing, retail, and office space.
In total, the project would add around 1,397 housing units. Phase 1, now under design review, features two residential buildings with 625 units, 21,000 square feet of retail, totaling nearly 992,000 square feet. Phase 2 will redevelop the southwest part of the property with an additional residential building comprising approximately 772 units, while Phase 3 will focus on the north end and include the office tower.
The project’s architect is Solomon Cordwell Buenz, a Seattle-based firm. Construction for the KG Wilburton project is expected to begin in 2027 and take approximately 27 to 30 months to complete.
