Mixed-Use Project in Works Near DEN

A development team has introduced plans for a new grocery store, retail plaza— including two restaurants— and a hotel off Peña Blvd. To be called Tower Plaza, the site is being proposed near Denver International Airport. The development is proposed for a 4-acre undeveloped lot at 18306 E. 64th Ave., off Peña Boulevard. Wu Mei Li and Kelly Chuong bought the retail parcel in September 2024 for $3.4 million.

The Denver Business Journal reports that the Tower Plaza concept plan details a single-story, 24,942-square-foot grocery store. Next to the supermarket are two retail units totaling over 6,000 square feet and two fast-food restaurants totaling 9,333 square feet. The five-story building on the northeast section of the parcel is shown to have a 4,032 square-foot mixed-use building footprint that could be four stories of hotel use with a restaurant beneath it on the ground floor.

The project is expected to be finished in 2028.
