Mixed-Use Project in Pawtucket Secures Construction Debt and Equity

Financing has closed for Peyser Real Estate Group’s Dexter Street Commons, a mixed-use development in Pawtucket, RI’s Conant Thread neighborhood. Peyser received more than $30 million in financing from Rockland Trust toward the project, in addition to equity investment from AMJ Capital, Panot Capital and the Healthy Neighborhood Equity Fund (HNEF). The HNEF funding is administered by the Conservation Law Foundation and Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation.

Construction has begun for the roughly $55-million project, which will deliver 150 energy-efficient housing units and commercial spaces at 71 Dexter St. Dexter Street Commons is within walking distance of the new Pawtucket-Central Falls commuter rail station and downtown Pawtucket.

“This project is key to the start of the redevelopment of the Conant Thread District and bringing new life into this vibrant community,” said Manuel Vales, SVP, commercial banking officer at Rockland Trust.
