Mixed-Income Multifamily Breaks Ground After Long Process

The NRP Group recently broke ground on a 368-unit mixed-income multifamily project in Killeen, TX. The development is two miles southeast of Fort Hood, the largest active-duty post in the U.S. military and home of the U.S. Army’s Armored Corp.

NRP is developing the community in partnership with Killeen Public Facility Corporation, J.P. Morgan and Texas Capital Bank. Half of the units will be reserved for residents earning less than 80 percent of the area median income.

“The NRP Group is committed to delivering high-quality housing for residents at every income-level,” said Alastair Jenkin, senior vice president of development at The NRP Group. “It’s an honor to be tasked with playing a role in the revitalization of North Killeen while also providing luxury housing for the military, young professionals and working families.”

The development, which will be situated near the corner of W.S. Young Drive and East Veterans Memorial Boulevard adjacent to Conder Park, will feature a club room, fitness center, private garages and dog park. The project will also be located near Killeen’s historic downtown.
