Mixed-Income Morton Station Village Lifts Off in Mattapan
NEI General Contracting has broken ground on the Morton Station Village in Mattapan, MA.
The new development, created by the Caribbean Integration Community Development and the Archdiocese of Boston’s Planning Office for Urban Affairs, is a 34,000-square-foot, four-story building with 40 units of mixed-income, mixed-tenure housing.
The Davis Square Architects-designed development consists of 28 affordable rental apartments and 12 affordable condominium units for households with incomes of 80% to 100% AMI.
The project is adjacent to the Morton Street MBTA commuter rail station on the Fairmount Line in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston. It sits on the former site of a Boston Policy Department station next to the new 8,000-square-foot Steven P. Odom Serenity Garden.
