Mitsui Fudosan Secures Nearly 200K SF of Leases at 1251 Ave. of the Americas
Mitsui Fudosan America said Wednesday it had completed nearly 200,000 square feet of new and renewal leasing activity recently at 1251 Ave. of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan. MFA attributed its success to a $100-million reinvestment into the office tower.
The transactions included the following:
- Trust Company of the West executed a long-term renewal and expansion totaling 80,200 square feet, represented by Ben Friedland, Gary Davies, Lauren Crowley and Elliot Bok of CBRE.
- McGuireWoods signed a long-term extension and expansion totaling 75,000 square feet in a direct deal with ownership.
- RBC signed a long-term lease for 42,900 square feet, relocating from 1211 Ave. of the Americas, represented by Bruce Mosler, Maria Travlos, Ethan Silverstein, David Mosler and Greg Herman of Cushman & Wakefield.
Newmark’s David Falk, Pete Shimkin, Eric Cagner and Claire Koeppel serve as the leasing agents at the building. “By curating elevated amenities, providing premier dining and inspiring communal outdoor space, we’ve proudly created a workplace that attracts best-in-class tenants and solidifies the building as one of the city’s most sought-after addresses,” said John Kessler, CEO of MFA.
